Why I invited Mark…
Because Mark loves Jesus and I think he represents someone who is trying to lead in an environment where it is difficult to lead. No can ignore the strength of MMA (mixed martial arts), it’s the fastest growing sport in the world and Mark is one of the major players. It’s natural to have an athlete talk about his/her faith (that’s been done a million times), but what about a guy who fights for a living? Mark is a former volunteer youth worker who loves Jesus, family and young people. He has a lot to teach others, both personally and professionally, and he has developed amazing leadership skills (i.e. courage, determination and dedication) that are transferable to young leaders. Mark is a committed family man, who has a quiet, humble confidence about him.
