I was just reading through the comments and had to roll my eyes when I read yours and saw that we both went for the same punchline, oh well.

    I was thinking McGill’s looked pretty cool until my middle schooler and wife chimed in and said it looked like a Nickelodian rip-off. Of course, they said Griff’s reminded them of “Cars”. Based on that and the overall garage theme I’m going with Griff’s dodgeball red.

    That and it reminds me of the movies.. Which reminds me of popcorn.. Which reminds me of soft drinks.. which reminds me that I’m thirsty.. which makes me think I’m wierd because I’m drinking a monster right now..

    Which actually makes since because they dehydrate you. And that reminds me of being dehydrated at the movies.. It comes full circle.

    I’m sure that Griff found his design free somewhere, since he is the King of Free. That being said, I think McGill’s is a little hard to read. Gotta go with Dodgeball Red!

    I like the Griffin Dodgeball Red better. The focus is on youth ministry rather than on the garage, and is a bit easier to read. But I am afraid that if I vote for Griff that I will have to sponsor MTDB.com… or allow him to sponsor all of my e-mails, facebook updates and tweets for the next 6 months.

    Dodgeball red highlights youth ministry more than garage, while steel highlights garage over youth ministry. Griffin red wins for that. Though I like the ability to call a shout out to blue steel and zoolander, so it’s a tough call.

    I think you ought to use the print off of one of Doug’s “vintage” shirts as a background for the logo, and change it to “DOUG FIELDS and friends.” Or, print it on velour in homage to Matt’s suit. Either works, just get the p-cast back up.

    I gotta go with the Griffin Dodgeball Red. It’s a much cleaner and to the point logo – kind of like Griff. The McGill Steel is a little harder to read and a lot less to the point – like McGill.

    The other header is too hard to read. The Griffin Red one has nice color, which could even lend to an awesome color scheme over the site, and is easily and quickly read.

    Do you really think asking a bunch of youth pastor’s opinions on design is a good idea? I mean we think cargo shorts and a clean t-shirt make good “formal” wear….

    And yea, I like the best of katie minus the “powered by YS” part… now I got to go find a nice pair of flip flops to match my shirt…
