Please help spread the word about Student Leadership Conference 2012

As you may know I am gearing up for our annual Student Leadership Conference this summer. We’ve done them for years in Southern California and now we’re adding a 2nd conference in Pennsylvania. We try to keep this conference as affordable as possible for students, so we rely on grassroots marketing efforts. I hate asking for favors, but I know you love and believe in teenagers as much as me, so I am going to ask anyway. Will you PLEASE help us spread the word and excitement for our upcoming SLC conference?

Lastly, I’d really appreciate your prayers. Those of us who put this conference on believe something incredible has been birthed in the lives of students each year at SLC. To be part of of the process God uses to change the course of the lives of students is humbling as you know, but it is also a privilege we don’t take lightly. We want to serve students and churches well. As we finish up the planning for our conference we would love other people who see the potential for teenagers to be praying with us.

I COULD USE YOUR HELP! Student Leadership Conference

Over the years I’ve heard something similar to, “Doug, thanks so much for sharing your resources and letting us take your name off and put our name on…so helpful…if there’s anything I could ever do for you, let me know.” It’s such a gracious statement and I never really have anything specific to say to this brother/sister youth worker. Until now… I could use your help getting the word out about our NEW Student Leadership Conference if you’re interested in helping.

I believe in this conference so much that I need/want to ask for help. Will you please help me spread the word to (1) youth workers you know, (2) with networks you are connected to, (3) on blogs you write, and (4) on Facebook pages you update?

We did this conference for several years when I was the youth pastor at Saddleback, but when I left we stopped the conference because it’s such a big task on an already-busy youth ministry team. Now that I’ve got some help from the folks at Azusa Pacific University, we’re brining it back. It’s really a great conference! Student leaders (& potential leaders) are challenged not to just sit in youth group and be spectators…we raise the bar! It’s deep, fun, interactive, challenging…and about the cheapest conference in America! It’s only $99 for 3 days (which includes most meals). HERE ARE THE ALL THE DETAILS! July 5-8
